This series will delve into the rich history of the Persian Empire and its connection to the holiday of Purim. Taught by world expert Nachliel Selavan AKA “The Museum Guy”, this interactive whistle stop tour around museums of the world and Google Earth will amaze and inspire.

The Return to Zion

Explore the impact of the Persian Empire in the land of Israel through archaeological discoveries, as we discuss the return of the Jewish people post-exile. Examine archaeological sites that tell the story of their homecoming & the challenges they faced.

Esther and the End of Miracles

In our final lecture, we'll delve into the philosophical aspects of Esther, understanding Purim's unique role in the Jewish calendar. Explore its relevance to contemporary challenges and its place as the final holiday in Tanach and the Jewish holiday cycle. 

 

 

 

Nachliel Selavan, MA., aka “The Museum Guy”, is a museum storyteller. He guides Tanach tours regularly in Israel and New York’s museums, and in museums worldwide through zoom. He has guided in over a dozen museums in the US, Europe and Israel, has engaged thousands of people of all walks of life through the museum, and speaks on podcasts and YouTube shows. He has guided several virtual tours for World Mizrachi and Chidon haTanach, and has done weekly podcasts and YouTube videos on Parasha, Tanach and archaeology.
