with Dr. Elana Stein Hain
This two-part course explores rabbinic concepts that can help us think about how we shape a society characterized by virtuous norms and not simply by legal rules and structure. Exposing the big ideas, questions, and issues motivating rabbinic discussions in the Talmud, Dr. Stein Hain will bring to life ancient discussions in the most contemporary of ways. Her inspirational teaching style draws in audiences of all ages.
Dr. Elana Stein Hain is the Director of Faculty and a Senior Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America. A widely well-regarded teacher and scholar, Elana is passionate about bringing rabbinic thought into conversation with contemporary life. She co-hosts For Heaven’s Sake, a bi-weekly podcast with Donniel Hartman and Yossi Klein Halevi.
