Mishloach Manot Purim Project
Mishloach Manot Purim Project
The mitzvah of sending mishloach manot derives from the Book of Esther, which enjoins the Jewish people to observe the days of Purim “as days of feasting and gladness, and sending portions of food to one another, and gifts to the poor” (9:22). Gifts of food and drink are sent to each other to ensure that everyone has enough food to enjoy the traditional Purim feast. Most importantly, it is thought of as an opportunity to strengthen relationships between people.
Show members of the Shaar family that you are thinking of them by sending a mishloach manot basket!
